JOSEPH FREDRICK

[ BACKGROUND ]

Joseph Frederick is a Steadicam and camera operator based in Atlanta, Georgia, who often travels for work.

He has been in the film industry since 2010, when he started his career at Paskal Lighting. He spent three years there, building many relationships that led him to begin working freelance as an electrician with Local 479. During that time, he discovered a love for photography, which taught him framing and composition and prepared him to eventually make the switch from static to motion.

Joseph worked hard over the years and took many training classes, including Steadicam lessons with Greg Smith in Los Angeles, lessons with Jessica Lopez at Steadischool (Evidence Studios) in Los Angeles, and camera operator courses at AbelCine in Chicago and Keslow in New York. He later joined Local 600 to begin his career in the camera department.

Panaman Productions LLC is his film company. The name comes from his family, who are based in Colón, Panama, in Central America. It represents both his family roots and the work he loves doing.
